Pascoe Vale Soccer Club is a semi-professional football (soccer) club located in northwest Melbourne's in Victoria, Australia. The club was established in 1966, and features both junior boys, girls and senior men soccer teams. Pascoe Vale's home ground is in Coburg North at Hosken Reserve, but the senior facility is based at CB Smith Reserve. Pascoe Vale's club colours are blue and white. ==History== The first known Pascoe Vale Soccer Club was formed in 1932 by British migrants. In 1966, immigrants from the Macedonia reformed the club, based in Melbourne’s North Western suburbs. The first president was Michael Puljevic. The club made a surge through the provisional leagues in the early 80s, achieving three successive promotions between 1982 and 1984, taking Pascoe Vale from Victorian Provisional League Division 4 to Victorian Provisional League Division 1 . The club was again promoted in 1986, competing in the State Leagues for the first time in 1987. The club remained in Victorian League Division 4 for the next six years until they were promoted to Victorian State League Division 3 in 1992, where the club spent the next nine years. In 2001, the club achieved promotion to Victorian State League Division 2 for the first time in their history. Despite coming close in 2003 and 2004, the club didn’t achieve promotion to State League Division 1 until 2009, after taking out the 2008 State League 2 championship for the first time in the club's history, led by former Brisbane Roar assistant coach and current Melbourne City assistant coach, Luciano Trani. Pascoe Vale were promoted to the Victorian Premier League in 2012 for the first time in their history, finishing top of State League One by five points over Port Melbourne Sharks. This would go on to be the greatest achievement of the club, growing from a small club run by a few mates from Macedonia, to go on and compete with some of the biggest clubs this country has to offer. Paco had a bit of a rough start to the VPL, enduring a 10th-placed finish, avoiding relegation by one place. In the newly formed National Premier Leagues Victoria, the new top tier of football in Victoria, Paco finished 11th in a 14 team competition in 2014. Despite being tipped by some as relegation candidates at the start of the year, Pascoe Vale finished in 6th place in 2015, qualifying for the finals series. Paco came up against Heidelberg United in the elimination final and progressed on penalties. They then faced 1st placed South Melbourne FC at Lakeside Stadium, but conceded two late goals in extra time to go down 3-2 in what was a heartbreaking win. The semi-final finish was the furthest Pascoe Vale had ever been in a VPL / NPL season in their entire history.
